Cell Free System Kits
Product Introduction

Cell-free protein synthesis (CFPS) is an easy-to-use, rapid, and efficient system that is devoid of membrane-bound barriers, yet contains the native cellular transcriptional and translational machinery and exogenous resources (e.g., amino acids, nucleotides and a secondary energy substrate) for the synthesis of the desired proteins.
Biortus Cell-free E. coli Protein Synthesis System can produce high levels and different molecular weights of recombinant proteins within several hours and can be used in high-throughput functional genomics and proteomics. In addition, it is optimally serving protein requirements to drive biochemical and structural biology research.
The synthesized protein can be detected by SDS-PAGE, western blot and FSEC, and can be isolated from the reaction mixture by affinity purification techniques for further structural and/or functional characterization.

Quality Control Assays
Every lot passes the following Quality Control specifications:
Functional Testing (Cell-Free Protein Synthesis Assay) (sfGFP, SDS-PAGE, FSEC). A 25 µl reaction in the presence of 250 ng E. coli sfGFP control plasmid containing the components of the Biortus Cell-free E. coli Protein Synthesis System incubated for 2 hours at 37°C results in the expected 28.8 kDa product as determined by SDS-PAGE and FSEC.

Stability testing (Repeated freezing and thawing for 10 times) (sfGFP, SDS-PAGE, FSEC). Biortus Cell-free E. coli Protein Synthesis Kit was subjected to repeated freezing and thawing between -80°C and 4°C for 0 to 10 times, and then the expression level of sfGFP was detected by FSEC.
