Glacios
Glacios is developed based on the Tecnai F20. Equipped with a highly stable field emission gun (FEG), it significantly enhances the coherence and brightness of the illumination source. The system features revolutionary cryogenic technology, allowing up to 12 samples to be loaded at once, with continuous automatic maintenance of the samples at liquid nitrogen temperature. A high-speed digital camera (SmartCam) replaces the traditional fluorescent screen, enabling users to perform remote operations through an innovative digital interface. The high stability of the electron optical system and sample stage, combined with advanced digital control software, supports high-level automated operation. Glacios is an ideal choice for sample screening before transferring samples to the Krios for ultra-high-resolution data acquisition.

TF20
FEI Tecnai TF20 is a 200 kV field-emission high-resolution TEM suitable for cryo single particle analysis (SPA) and semi-thick frozen cells or sections (up to 200 nm) for electron microscopy and electron tomography. The TF20 is equipped with a field emission gun (FEG) and a computer-controlled liquid nitrogen cryo-stage with a tilt range of +/-80 degrees. The microscope is fitted with a TIETZ F415MP 4k x 4k multi-port CCD camera, featuring 4 readout ports and a pixel size of 15 µm. Images can also be recorded using a conventional film camera. The TF20 TEM, part of the FEI Tecnai G2 series, is well-suited for cryo electron microscopy and cryo electron tomography.
