Protease Inhibitor
The Biortus protease inhibitor is a mixture containing multiple protease inhibitors of various types, covering a wide range of protease targets. This product effectively protects the "protease-sensitive" properties of proteins, thereby preventing unwanted proteolytic cleavage that may occur during experiments or biochemical processes.
The components of the protease inhibitor mixture include
Serine protease inhibitors | Such as AEBSF, Aprotinin, etc., used to inhibit serine protease activity. |
Cysteine protease inhibitors | Such as E-64, lepeptin, used to inhibit cysteine protease activity. |
Metalloprotease inhibitors | Such as EDTA (added), used to chelate metal ions required for metalloprotease activity. |
Aspartic protease inhibitors | Such as Pepstatin A, used to inhibit aspartic protease activity. |
The Biortus protease inhibitor can be used in various forms and is widely applied in experiments such as protein purification, protein immunoprecipitation, cell lysate preparation, and Western-blot experiments to protect target proteins from proteolytic degradation.
